Cuban Land Snail

This series of work investigates the graphical splendor created naturally by the Cuban Land Snail. As a graphic designer, I am fascinated by the tremendous variety of color and pattern exhibited across this single species. I created this series of vector illustrations from life studies, through drawings and photographs. The illustrations were made in Adobe Illustrator and are entirely vector. Once printed, a spot varnish was screen printed on each shell to increase contrast. Influences for this piece definitely include my love for the outdoors, especially summers spent at the seashore.
