Rubbish bin using bent aluminum tubing

I have been looking for a good looking, non-plastic rubbish bin for quite a long time. For this project there were many factors that contributed in its conception. Plenty of 14mm aluminum tubing left over from an older project, frustration from the use of archetypical rubbish bins which need cleaning inside every so often and also often feature the hinged lid which occupies one of my feet, need for a bit of style in the house and finally, need for a bit of fun in the workshop.
I have to admit that if I paid more attention in the design phase, most of it would be different to say the least. The plywood “feet” were a last minute patch and their design would be different if I had any wider leftover plywood. In any case, making it and filming the process, recording the music and editing the video was fun and at the end of the day, I think this was the ultimate goal with this project.
Enjoy! (and if it’s too long for you, skip whatever you wish…)
