*Why are they interesting for you?
They are interesting to me because the first time I saw them, they just caught my attention. Also for some of them I kind of had an idea, so I just search them up.
#1: is interesting for me because it is a way of saying goodbye to the seniors this year.
My favorite t.v show is also Friends.
#3: is interesting for me because it is showing the year of 2017-2018 which is my first and last year at Shawnigan Lake School. It is also something simple, but it catches the eye's attention, because the pictures are contrasting under the black.
#4: The cover magazine is interesting for me because instead of Lana Del Rey, I would put a picture of Mr. Robertson, and this would represent his last year, and also mine in a way because this would be the only time I would do the year book cover for this school. I like the typography in this magazine and the way it contrasts with the picture.
*Which element if design are they using?
They are using: repetition, color emphasize, shape and style emphasis, symmetrical balance, asymmetrical balance, hierarchy, rule of thirds, and line.
#3: has color emphasize, because it is showing the contrast of the number with the pictures underneath the black.
#5: has hierarchy, because it is showing you the most important things, meaning the most important things get bigger.
#4: has shape and style emphasis, because there are different types of typography, and the way that the main picture is put a little bit on top of the tittle, but still being able to read it.
3) Idea/Reflect
Describe and explain what would you like to express; emotions, concepts.
*Story behind the cover.
What I would like to express in the cover I do for the 2018 yearbook is saying goodbye to either Mr. Robertson or to the seniors of 2018.
*Why do you like to express that?
This is because it is both their last year, and they should be remembered by the school, and it is also my first and last year, so it will be a great way to remember 2017-2018 as one of the best years in my life. This will make me remember of this and also if I win then I will also be very proud of myself.
