This small dwelling located in Portage, Alaska is meant to be part of the nomadic hut system of the Chugach Mountains for hikers, skiers, and adventurers. With a uniue set of requirements and especially harsh conditions, the cabin required special adaptations and architectural systems. After extensive analysis on the adaptations of the Northern Sea Otter, a thorough set of principles were developed.
