Every year, the Illinois State University School of Communication hosts COM Week, an event that brings professionals in various fields of communication to campus to speak with students about potential career opportunities in their field of choice. 2014's event was attended by 500+ students (a 20% increase from previous years) and 70 speakers from various organizations and professions, including Rolling Stone, Weber Shandwick, State Farm, and Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
