This is an illustration of Michael Martin, a real historical figure for whom I am developing a graphic novel. He was one of the most infamous highwaymen of his time. Here he is waiting in a garden to accost the Lord-Lieutenant, who had been spying on his girlfriend.

This is my first time trying out these new art markers by Shuttle Art. Although they are clearly modeled after the Copic marker, they behave like no other markers I have ever used before! For one, they blend best going from dark to light tones; secondly, the colors don't transfer to the pen when blending. 

I used colors gel pens to outline instead of just black ink for a softer look.
