Layered recipe book  - My favourite foods from Japan

While I was in Japan I have tried so many food and I loved those really much. Some japanese foods have more layers which aren't visible at the first time and I was thinking about how could I show it in a book. The whole book is made by myself: the design, the paper cuts, the paper sticking, the book binding... It was a very very long work, but I think it did worth!


First I've cut the ingredients from paper, then scanned those and after that I've colored in Photoshop. I've printed and cut again and finally I've put the papercuts onto the papers of the book with glue.
I've cut the silhouette of naruto ( steamed, sawtooth edged, white fish cake with pink spiral design on it). I love this food, it is so funny, so that's why I've chosen that for book cover. It is also layered like the other pages inside the book.
The book includes 8 different food: chawanmushi, miso soup, ramen, sushi, katsu, two kinds of yakisoba and gyoza.
