Furniture and housewares inspired by the elements of hip hop culture (b-boying, djing, mcing, graffiti writing). Looking beyond the surface and capturing the energy in each element.
Clockwise:
Coffee Table - an abstraction of the tension in the body of a baby freeze. (Breaking)
Dinner Plate - capturing the energy of the record rotation and pull back of a scratch. (DJing)
Cups - inspired by the forward giving energy of an MC on stage and the angle with which the mic is held. (MCing)
Shelf - capturing the energy of the air as the paint is sprayed then dissipates. (Writing Graffiti)
