Self Portrait
The self-portrait otherwise known in today's modern culture as the selfie, is seen as the image of one’s self to be perfect, an idealist form, with no flaws or imperfections. However this body of work tells a different story. One where imperfections cannot be hidden or removed.
This project came out of me becoming more aware as I grew up of the way it looks and the way it never goes unnoticed and these feelings lead me to believe that now was the time in my life to document it. All the images explore different feelings that I have toward my leg, vulnerability, comfort, memory and documentation.
