200K budget 140m2 steel structure residence for a family of three. Two bedrooms, Living room that can be joined with the kitchen. Office space. The design was resolved around the concept of constant flow between the interior and the exterior (closed yards) of the house and the social life on level 0. The family's interest for unusual plants made it essential to have as wide yard areas as possible while the climate of greece made it possible to entangle the outdoor life with the indoor. The various legislation constrains for built space and relation with the adjacent lots were a challenge to overcome. The building was designed with the ability to expand to 200m2 with minimum cost and time spent. The staircase tower works as an airflow tunnel to disperse heat.
