Formsaachen is a confrontation with Aachens most significant landmarks which shape the cityscape significantly. Over 50 vector illustrations were created that illustrate buildings, fountains and monuments. The goal was to break their appearance down to the essential basic shapes and colors without losing their character.

Max Widdra is a designer who, in addition to his main role as creative director of digital projects, pursues his passion for analogue print designs in the form of the extensive project Formsaachen. He has been working in the design landscape of Aachen since 2004.
His works have received numerous prestigious international design awards like the Red Dot Design Award, German Design Award and Good Design Award.
