Toyota Ideas For Good

Ideas For Good was a campaign developed to celebrate the Toyota's advancements in automotive technology and their long history of sharing their innovations with others to improve lives around the world. Saatchi LA worked with the brand to open a two-way conversation with its fans to help identify new ideas using Toyota technology that would benefit humankind. Using a cross channel media campaign, the public was invited to submit their concepts. Five ideas were developed into working prototypes with the help of Carnegie Mellon University and creative engineers Deeplocal.

Webby 2012 - Corporate Social Responsibility
The Bees Awards 2012 - Best Reputation Management
We teamed up with Royale to create a series of six web films to educate people on the program and invite them to submit their own ideas. The best submissions would earn the winners a trip to Pittsburgh to have their ideas brought to life by creative engineering firm Deeplocal.
To further show the potential of Toyota's technology we set up shop in Deeplocal's Pittsburgh stomping grounds to build an experiment, a prototype roller coaster powered by the Prius's Hybrid Synergy Drive.
In the summer of 2011 the five winners descended on Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh to have their amazing ideas made a reality. Deeplocal assembled teams to support each winner in their project's development. There were fires and fire trucks. On purpose.
