Album cover + release party
Vonneumann is a music band that loves infusing their work with subtle details and ideas, intended for the discerning few to discover. In 2017 they published Norn, an album focused on bringing communication and language mistakes to life through the bend’s experiments with digital and analog sounds. The design project draws inspiration from various inscrutable forms of communication. The front cover style presents a creative reinterpretation of the Ithkuil alphabet, while the back cover design pays homage to the inventive type design of the Codex Seraphinianus. The album cover design received such positive feedback from both the band and their fans that it opened up exciting opportunities for me. As a result, I was actively involved in the release party. I had the honor of exhibiting seven canvases, and I got the chance to perform a live painting.
