In late 2008 I decided to step away from my own design work for a time so that I could work on some larger projects and watch more experienced designers in action. I got incredibly lucky and was privileged to be hired to work as a Scenic Design Assistant at The Oregon Shakespeare Festival. In my two seasons working in the design studio I met some great Designers and got to witness and work with the talented artisans and craftspeople at OSF. My experience there was really transformational.
