auter - the bistrot of Turin

Auter
Visual identity for a bistrot in the city of Turin
This is the project I have been developed during my MA year.

The aim of this project was to create a sustainable business promoting the territory of Turin, its quality products and the best sustainability practices, through the attitude of being different within the offer of up-to-date facilities

The brand’s attributes are Territorial, Sustainable, Accessible, Unique

The dialect is the element chosen to represent the link with the past: the retrieve of the values passes through the regional identity

àutër, which in piedmontese dialect means "another", "different", is born from this concept and indicates the uniqueness of the café; the slogan means "where you eat well"

The photographic style chosen for the identity is the aftermath; the photographer has not had time to capture the scene because everything was already eaten. We cannot see the typical clean set ready to be taken by a food photographer but we can see what remains on the table after we ate

àutër is a bistrot, where you can eat or have a coffee and where you can buy from a delicatessen counter, but everything according to traditional local cuisine

Even the packaging is inspired to the old way of wrapping food in the bulk shops and a system of stickers has been designed to just personalise every kind of object saving money avoiding to print tonnes of items
