Through my work with vSolutions, I designed this set of flip charts in 2016 in collaboration with World Vision Vanuatu as part of their mission under the Channels of Hope project. The flip charts and associated ToT materials, which combine bible teachings with kastom stories and activities to encourage children to develop healthy attitudes towards gender roles of the type typically associated with a reduction in gender-based violence later in life, have been used in Sunday school lessons throughout Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands. Kastom stories and art within the book were provided by Nabanga Pikinini (Children of the Banyan Tree in Bislama), a publication which has produced several volumes of children's storybooks based on Vanuatu traditional storytelling.
