- Overview -
The project was to practice desige a functional and responsive website for 4k desktop, tablet, and phone using mainly HTML5 and CSS3. Our team decided to create a web specializing and selling Funko Pop figures in the Lower Mainland.
- Process -
Once the website, target audience, and their needs are decided, a map consists topic and sub-topics were established. Then a style guide was created for efficiency and consistency. We then started coding using mainly HTML5 and CSS3 based on the wireframes we sketched out earlier in the process.
We started coding the 4k desktop version first, then rearranged the elements hierarchy turning it into tablet and mobile version. The code was repeatedly tested for loading speed and loading priority of the content/images, as well as being able to be opened from different /older generation browsers since they are critical for a smooth transition for a responsive website we were aiming to create.
