A themed coffee shop based on the American TV series Breaking Bad. The main design concept is to recreate the atmosphere of a chemistry lab that fits the theme, while using neutral techniques that won't get stale over time, allowing visitors to come back day after day.
The place is located on the first floor of a reconstructed building in the historical center of Dnipro, on Soborna Square, overlooking the Transfiguration Cathedral.
The coffee shop has four main areas - the summer patio, the coffee roasting room, the lounge, and the bar area. The coffee roasting process in the glass room is visible to visitors from anywhere.
All lighting elements aim to maximize the laboratory atmosphere without sacrificing the coziness of the coffee shop.
Modular bar tables that can be grouped into a single table. Purchased chairs. Locally made bar stools based on individual sketches. The pickup table is designed like a bathtub with a burned bottom - a reference to events in the TV series. The communications system is a central design element, a fully functional and intricately linked system that meets the establishment's needs.
The establishment actively engages with the street and square. The seats on the summer patio are facing the pedestrian and vehicular traffic, utilizing the unique location to recreate the culture of street communication and leisurely park activities.
