Weaving of Life - Crochet stool

In this course, we were given a word ( Detached ), then select a certain group of people and ask
them what the word means to them and which color is most suitable.

The word Detached led to a different set of keywords after the survey as I decided to work with the senior citizen. Their view on the word detached inclined towards the positive side, saying togetherness is very important
and one can accomplish anything if there is unity among one another

From the given feedback, we had to select 3 keywords (Compassion, Togetherness, Assurance) and later translate the understanding into a product.

For my final product, I decided to crochet a stool using yarns (Jute & Wool) as the interlocking of fibers twisted or braided together create a larger and stronger form. It signifies how unity in a family is very important.

The pattern for my final product was inspired from Flower of Life, it is considered to be deep and spiritual and forms of enlightenment to those who have studied it as sacred geometry.
