The initial concept of this idea was explore the language and idioms used to describe the rain, and create typographic posters to express them. The way the rain is described across the world changes dramatically. However each country/ region has its own way of expressing the phrase "it's raining cats and dogs".
Argentina: "It's raining dung head-first."
France: "It's raining like a pissing cow."
Ireland: "It's throwing cobblers' knives."
South Africa and Namibia: "It's raining old women with clubs."
The posters were then screen printed with hydrochromic ink to cover the messages underneath, until the posters got wet and revealed their messages.
