Two of my most favourite people decided they wanted to form a new family. To celebrate the occasion they organised one of those big feasts traditionally called "marriage" or "wedding" (although it was not a traditional marriage per se).

As a wedding present I decided to make something for them. Not just any old work of art but something to signify a union. First, I made a flying donkey-dragon and then on its back I put a crowned pod. 

As a work it belongs to the series of three-dimensional, or sculptural collages I am making. The flying donkey-dragon is covered by images I got mostly from wedding magazines but for the pod I printed photographs of the couple I found on social media sites. 

I hope they live long and prosper and that they will like my little present.
