2007 to 2009
One of the main objectives of the redesign project was to make the manual more cohesive and articulate. I spent a great deal of time adjusting text (subheads, lists, etc.) into a more consistent format.
The visual language of the piece required just as much revision as the text. Many magazine techniques, such as pull quotes and illustrations, were used to make the manual more engaging and beautiful.
Information graphics, such as step-by-step instructions for computer programs to sales call procedure, were added to make the manual a useful resource for years to come.
The initial purpose of the operations manual is to support the training process. In order to make the manual more interactive a place for notes was added to the margins of the booklet.
