"Un Chien Andalou" foi um projeto editorial feito durante a disciplina de Projeto Gráfico I no curso de Design da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). O roteiro do curta foi usado como texto para o release do livro. Durante o período de conceituação, a maior inspiração gráfica foi David Carson, buscando o status de livro-objeto, usando papel vegetal no miolo. Dessa forma, a produção se torna refinada e o texto gera um ruído, nos grafismos das formigas e a diagramação do texto. A capa traz a descontinuidade e a quebra da não linearidade da história, e o lettering do título é completamente handmade, remetendo às falhas naturais do acaso.
"Un Chien Andalou" was an editorial book project done during my Graphic Project I class at University. For the text, it was used the film's screenplay. My biggest inspiration for the project was David Carson's work and legacy. The story itself is much more than a conventional story. It is a big mark in the cinema history and surrealism as well, so I wanted to bring this importance in the material form. The paper inside the book is a translucid one, aiming a certain difficulty to read, just like its primal work. The cover brings the natural flaws of collage and handmade lettering.
