We were told making a pop-up booster couldn’t be done. But it could, and we did. A booster that’s flat when folded and meets the toughest safety standards when open. Ready for use whenever and wherever you and your little ones need it!
Pop-up booster, a seat at every table
This project was close to our heart as we were a founding partner and design lead. Our vision was to get rid of the heavy plastic baby furniture that weighs young families down and invent a new range of pop-up, stylish and portable furniture in its place – starting with a booster that’s the size of a book when folded and a comfortable seat when open.
THE JOURNEY
Pop-up furniture is hard to make! We became experts in origami, structural engineering and health and safety regulations (not to mention distribution models, e-commerce platforms and digital advertising…). But by working closely with factories we overcame every single issue without compromise. Even the long straps needed to secure the booster to the chair became part of the carrying system.
So clever it’s simple
From its unique origami structure to its stain-free finish, we’ve packed a lot of firsts into a small package. But what we’re most proud of is the way we turned this complexity into simplicity – you simply pop it up and enjoy. And the booster is now enjoying its own success, winning a number of design awards and thousands of fans around the world.
Free to move
Nobody likes to be strapped down, so we designed shoulder straps with elastic padding that self-adjusts to your child’s size and movement. The straps are also removable. So you can remove them and throw everything in the wash.
Comfy for little bottoms
Our Pop-Up Booster is conceived as a comfy, padded sofa for your kids. And for a little back support we went the extra mile to make sure the back rest pops up smoothly as well.
Bring on the mess
Olive oil or tomato sauce on the menu? A quick wipe and your booster is good as new, thanks to a stain and odour-proof finish completely new to the world of baby products. It’s also compliant with REACH and CPSIA standards to guarantee it’s free from any harmful substances.
Keep your chair clean
How can you stop kids putting dirty shoes on the chair below their booster? Simple answer is you can’t. So we designed a solution: the bag for your Booster includes a simple, effective seat cover.
Don't ban kids. ban bad design.
What works at home doesn’t work for restaurants or hotels: bulky high chairs and cheap plastic boosters can obstruct the staff and clash with the interior design. But the answer to catering for kids isn't banning them or 'down-grading' them. It's Bombol.
Bombol's mission is to free parents up to have more fun with their kids. And a big part of that is making sure our products are perfectly built for the places they want to go.
