We can think of silence as the absence of sound although, this definition might not be completely correct. Silence can be minimal sound activity or sound without distractions. Non-places like underground parking, for me, represent a certain idea of silence. No visual distractions, no emotional attachment to personal objects, free of people, specif sound acoustics and above all neutral.
