Cyrus the Great

Cyrus the Great
Cyrus the Great or Cyrus II, founder of Achaemenian Empire (born 590–580 BCE; died c. 529-530), son of Cambyses great king of Anshan and grandson of Cyrus I, reigned over widespread areas of Asia and centered on Persia for almost 30 years. After dominating Median Empire and Lydian Empire, He conquered Babylon in spring 539 BCE that was a milestone in his kingdom and a preface for his great empire in central and western Asia. The Cyrus Cylinder, which was written after Babylon conquest, is a valuable historian document of that era.
While Cyrus was the most venerate Persis king, he respected the customs, norms and religions of the lands he conquered. He was known as a father for Persis, as an agent from Marduk for Babylonian, as Messiah from Yahweh for Jewish, and as a great conqueror and genius politician for Greek. Cyrus was certainly a remarkable leader well recognized for his achievements in human rights, politics, and military strategy, as well as his influence on both Eastern and Western civilizations.
