Pieces from my senior creative thesis: a study in poetics, typography, photography, and graphic/visual design.
Abstraction was an important part of the text itself in these visual pieces, so the images needed a coherent underlying design. I limited typography to the Ostrich Sans font family and utilized minimal individual color palettes.
The artistic merit of my photos (from a strictly photographic standpoint) took backseat to balancing manipulation and typography, to create entirely new images from which separate parts could not be extracted without causing significant harm to the whole.
Otherwise this would just be a photography project!
