Fractured is the biography of Frida Kahlo. Her life was forever changed when she was involved in a serious traffic accident at the age of 16. Frida had to undergo 36 surgeries to repair her shattered body, which limited her activities and was a source of many of her artworks. The accident was bad for her body, but motivated and enhanced her artwork. The binding of the book represents her body, connected and held together by stitches and needles.
