For the largest project of the year, our brief involved the client of Lincoln College. Hypothetically, they wished to expand their facilities for the Herbal Medicine course. The result was a re-invention of a classic local building into a multi-functional Herbal Centre research facility.
The concept derived from Hering’s Law of Cure; a theory which suggests how the healing process is from within out, from the head down and in the reverse order that the syptoms appear.
The design is therefore driven from the conceptual language however also serves as a largely functional facility which respects the existing building and contextualises with the surroundings.
