Logo, cd packaging and EP launch poster for a post-rock band called Astronomical. Post-rock music often includes lengthy instrumental pieces to build up dynamic sounds and texture. This wall of sound is replicated in the choice of imagery and design elements. The dream-like photos, layered textures and abstract ideas contribute to the desired atmospheric tone of voice. The design concentrates on a moment in time, a feeling or emotion rather than a specific band or lead singer’s personality.
