A project for an office kitchen aiming to create highly functional, yet modern and appealing space to accommodate multiple users with different needs. The idea for this kitchen was to create an open plan layout easy to transform when needed. The space is designed to be a good fit with the overall character of the office space, but to bring up color and character to energize employees’ work and boost their mood over a long workday.
The area of the kitchen though open is a room of its own and it comprises kitchen cabinetry, two bars with bar stools and additional lounge corner with modular soft furniture giving the users of the kitchen certain flexibility – a place that is easy to use and predisposing employees to enjoy a snack or to sit and have a coffee.
The cabinetry style is streamlined, simple and modern. Backsplashes are from glass that is extremely easy to clean and maintain. Open shelves above are designed to give lighter touch, provide aesthetic balance and be easy to use. LED light below upper cabinetry creates pleasant focal point and brightens up the space.
The design provides enough countertop surface for employees to quickly reheat or assemble food and offers all needed – a sink, a dishwasher, a microwave, a coffee machine. Additionally, a water machine is installed next to one of the bars.
Work necessities and decorations find their place in a grid above the soft furniture. The kitchen is also equipped with a TV screen suitable for gatherings or any kind of celebrations.
Predominantly the space is in white creating an airy and light atmosphere and it is complemented by different combinations of color which add interest across the bare walls and introduce character and cheerful mood.
