HYDEis a new dust-bin concept. Instead of trying to solve the manyphysical problems users have with dust bins, the problems get solvedby letting the bin change the way users use them. This sturdy, smartlooking dust bin does this by closing and “hiding” from the userwhen it’s full. Using a small mechanism, the bin will notice whenthe maximum tolerable amount of waste is thrown inside. This startsanother mechanism which lets the bin close its lid softly. This willmake the users search for another bin rather then trying to put theirwaste inside something that doesn't remind them to a bin at the firstmoment.. The mechanism consists of a little scale which weighs theamount of waste.
