Stories2Wear goes back to its roots and rediscovers the fairytales of our childhood. From the original fables, to the 19th century fairytales, the symbolism of magic runs deep into the narrative. The magic phrase that defines the story and moves forward the plot, is the characteristic element we remember about the story. This is the inspiration for the Fairytale collection which takes on typography for the first time, and uses elements from medieval calligraphy and illustrated manuscripts to decorate modern laser-cut bronze jewellery, dipped in gold and silver plating, as well as some stainless steel pieces.
Artwork, gothic typefaces blended with handwritten type and calligraphic swirls. Final design was engraved on metal, fired, moulded and turned into typographic jewellery. I was responsible for the whole project and production.
