Historical Viking Ornamentation - The Cammin Reliquary Casket

The Cammin Reliquary Casket contains on it's decorative Panels exquisite exaples of the intricate Viking Mammen-Knotwork Style.

I went to the museum (Germanisches Nationalmuseum Nürnberg) several times a Week in May and April 2015 and made drawings of all the panels.

Last year I decided to rework all of the ornaments as vector illustrations (Using PaintToolSai) with better flow on the knotwork and leave out the filling dots that I find rather distracting.

Well I didn't really come that far in that year so I decided to finally finish this project off in two days
