Some time ago I was teaching my students how to make smoke, loop it and compose it using Animate and After Effects, and this was the example that came to my mind.
The animated loop for the smoke was done in Animate as one flat color, then I colored the smoke on Photoshop using layer fx and integrated the smoke to the scene in After Effects, a really quick and simple process.
