Pony of the Sea Splash Screen

This drawing, made for my website ponyofthesea.com was created with the Pony of the Sea brand in mind. The brand centres around creativity through storytelling in the form of illustration and design. It's originally intended role was as a splash screen to welcome people to my site, and get them into the 'Pony of the Sea" mindset.

To begin with, I began drawing sea plants and creatures. The story continued unfolding from there, as I drew whatever I felt like. You could call it a "stream of consciousness". What resulted was a swashbuckling adventure involving zeppelins, doors into space and wormholes that lead deep under water and to the misty heights of an ancient temple.

The image was created in Illustrator with a Wacom Intuos Pro. It is A3, but infinately resizable due to being vector. I would like to turn it into a poster or wallpaper of some sort. Possibly a bedspread.

Below are some close-ups of the image that I screen-shotted as I was working. There were no rough droughts and no "mistakes", I just directly drew whatever came into my head...
