Honda CR-Z Mode Art is a stand alone website and facebook application which turns your life into art. The users information is pulled from Facebook using Facebook connect and then merged into a unique art composition, the art theme is based on one of the three Honda CR-Z driving modes - SPORT, URBAN and ECON. The assets used to create the art were produced by three top illustrators and then fed into the 'Artwork - omatic', the black box which uses algorithms and heuristics to dynamically generate a piece of art. The final piece can then be shared on Facebook, sent to a friend, downloaded or sent to a mobile phone.
My role was to develop the 'Artwork - omatic' segment of the project. I worked closely with the Creative Director and the three illustrators to establish a suitable recipe and set of algorithms to produce unique pieces of art whilst enforcing parameters and rules to keep the art looking great. This is integrated into a pureMVC site framework which sits as a stand alone site and runs as a Facebook application.
