Daily 宇良
One illustration a day of sumo wrestler 宇良 (Ura) for his February 幕内 (top division) debut.
宇良, a young, sumo wrestler, stands out as the man in pink. He is new to the top division (since February), is rather on the short side, but brings so much talent. He is a joy to watch because of his varied path to sumo; you never know what moves he’ll pull.
People love him, calling him 宇良たん and 可愛い all the time. He is the subject of my personal daily illustration project because I wanted to learn more about and creatively imagine the sport of sumo and the life of a 力士, while challenging myself to make something intense everyday.
After February, I made two more illustrations. One for his 勝ち越し achievement and the other for his birthday. </fangurl>
