Alleval is a serif typeface intended for text usage and long paragraphs.
The object of its low contrast and wide apertures is to protect the reader from eye strain and to imbue an aged feeling to the text. Based on classical Renaissance examples, it is particularly appropriate for texts which might benefit from a subtle historical feel to them, or for literature genres such as fantasy.

The typeface is currently in development, with more weights, italics and small caps planned for its release, which i expect to be near the end of 2017, or the beginning of next year. In its present state it features a Latin and Bulgarian cyrillic character sets, but i plan on building it up to Pan-European coverage.
