Hyder's Noor is a project that started in the summer of 2012.
A small group of 7 of us students, traveled to Hyderabad to study various non-textile crafts.
The journey started at Shilparamam, a crafts village where artisans from all over the country come to display their work. We explored multiple crafts and documented them tediously. We traveled to the famous Charminar and explored the small 'gullies' of Choodi Bazaar and found the most beautiful stories and crafts.

We finally stumbled upon handmade glass sculptures which fascinated us immensely.
We documented the craft in a small workshop by a humble artisan named Noor Syed Hussain. The next step was a mock photoshoot of some of his glass art work.
We then carried on to create a visual identity for the artisan and worked out basic marketing strategies to help boost his business. Here is a brief presentation of this project.

The Process :
The only raw material used are thin hollow glass rods.
No sketches, no planning. He just picks up a glass rod and creates beautiful sculptures.
Location Shoots:
The mock shoots were done in my Grandma's Garden. :)
'The Chariot of Ice' ... We called it.
The Magical Attar Bottle
