ASTROVISIT TEIDE

Astrovisit is a guided tour company based in Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain) specialized in stargazing excursions to mount Teide. The Teide is one of the earth's biggest volcanoes, but it is also well known for being one of the best places in the world for stargazing. With its dark clear skies, fresh air and high altitudes, Tenerife has been (since 1975) home to the Canarian Institute of Astrophysics, one of the world’s leading astronomic observatories.

Astrovisit offers guided tours that combine the classic hiking/sightseeing spirit (the area around the summit is Spain’s largest national park) with the magical experience of touching the stars, planets and constellations with your fingertips, surrounded only by silence and darkness.

We were commissioned to design the company identity. We wanted to highlight both the astronomy core of the bussiness and the magnificent natural environment. We used an expressive color palette that put together the brightness of the stars (also a reference to the island cultural tradition) with darker gray tones more connected to the rock colors under the moonlight.

We used the image of the mountain in some applications, creating a 'daily' and 'nocturnal' version of the 'logo landscape', and we chose an elegant sans serif font for texts, (Isaac Sans by Marcos Dopico), that gave us the young, modern and accesible character we needed to be an attractive option for the tourists.
