Thomas Gibbs's profile

Spectrosphere Web Site

I designed and hosted my own portfolio website, named Spectrosphere (as Thomas Gibbs is a very common name). After a few hand draw sketches detailing the layout and rough page contents, I began designing layouts and images on Photoshop.

The site itself was designed completely in Photoshop, and then, using the "slice image" Photoshop feature, it was turned into an interactive web site. I later began to use Dreamweaver to improve my site with CSS, however this is currently not yet hosted on my Spectrosphere site, and can be temporarily viewed here.
I designed a set of glossy buttons, each with two states, active and inactive (un-pressed and pressed). And placed them on a multicoloured panel.
After designing the logo, title and top panel, I divided the the page into equal 8ths to provide a layout for the portfolio.
After already hosting my site which I created on Photoshop, I redesigned it using Dreamweaver so as to make use of certain CSS capabilities, such as hovering over buttons which changes the image. This site can be temporarily viewed here.
