For the course Game Architecture and Design, the professor gave us two weeks to develop a 2D game, in a two person group. The theme was to design a game that involved deception. For the game, my partner and I came up with a hippogryph wanting to eat fish, and can only eat the good fish (he loses a life if a bad fish is eaten). The deception of the game would be having some of the fish that fly up screen turn to its opposite, so a fish can start out good but in the middle turn into a bad fish. When the player catches 10 good fish, a super fish shows up and the player has to catch the super fish in order to win the game.

I worked on drawing out the characters and objects while my partner designed the buttons and background.
For coding, we used Actionscript. Since my partner was an IT major, she had more knowledge in Actionscript and did most of the coding. Even though I knew only the basic concepts of Actionscript, I was able to learn a lot from seeing her code, and helped with coding in background music and sound effects. After the coding was all finished, I looked over the game to see if there needed to be any adjustments in the animation or layouts.
