TOGOTOY - inclusive toy for visually impaired children

TOGOTOY is an inclusive toy designed for both sighted and visually impaired children to play together, despite their differences.

By linking the blocks together in order to build any structure they can imagine, children also connect keywords to create a story o their own. Literacy is encouraged by offering children words written using both Braille and roman alphabet on the same block.

TOGOTOY has been in development since June 2016, with great support from
Vitor Akamine, co-creator and partner in this project.

Recently, our project has also been to O Estado de Sao Paulo newsapaper!

TOGOTOY at FabLearn Conference 2016 - Sao Paulo edition
TOGOTOY at ISAM2016 (International Symposium on Academic Makerspaces), at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
Our poster was awarded with the Stratasys Award - Best Student Poster.
