Practice, practice, practice!

If there's one thing I learned from the masters in the design field, it's that consistency is key.

This is something I - and I suppose also a lot of people - struggle with. I would feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I would get bursts of creativity one day, and then I'd succumb to depression the day after. This was a never ending cycle.

But also along this process, I learned that I am good in preparation. Over the last few months, all I did was gather all the knowledge I could pick up, and save them for later. My thirst for knowledge is what is constant in me each day.

Preparation is good, but being great designer requires skill. Knowledge and passion is useless if I don't have anything to show for it. How else would I prove my credibility as a designer?

One of the most important realizations I had is that skill isn't acquired by sitting there, binge watching YouTube tutorials, reading articles and finding inspiration. Because again, skill is only acquired through constant practice.

Taking a plunge and making things happen may seem like a daunting task at first, but even the laziest procrastinator (me) can prove that it's not as difficult as I often imagined.

The only major step I must take is to make a decision and to commit. It isn't about finding the right time or feeling ready, it's about making that decision to begin.

Here is a collection of my works from the start to the present day. It's not perfect but I want it to be a perfect example of progress.
