The Women Project.

Body image and body and mind acceptance is a taboo subject for many women as it is for myself. There are many artists, illustrators and other women tackling this subject so I looked to go about it in a slightly different way. I feel that humour is a fantastic way to get people’s attention, when humour is used correctly, it can go hand in hand with even serious subjects. This can draw people in, make them laugh and then make them think about the message behind the laughter. As my work has always been humour based I was excited to mix it with a serious topic.

I asked women to send me their own personal stories and quotes about body and mind acceptance and from there I illustrated each story.
