Brief: ‘Fickle Fads and Dedicated Followers of Fashion’
‘The Golden Age of 3D’ is a publication that investigates the rise and fall of stereoscopic cinema in the early 1950’s.
This short-lived and recurring film technique is arguably undeserving of it’s fad status; as it’s usually the victim of
exhibitor laziness, industry mishandling, and cheap gimmicks. This submission aims to look beyond the novelty that
kept cinema alive during the rise of the television.
