An Instagram project.

Coming from random experimentation and play, this project works like the playful extension of my work with old photographs and geometric collages. Starting from the symbolic value of simple objects and its interaction with other anonymous faces on which they rest, I create a relationship that generates imaginary stories the viewer can follow. They are photographs taken with a mobile phone, representing different everyday objects momentarily stuck on old portraits. No photo editing, the images were published directly on Instagram with the earlybird filter and with the hashtag #antiheroes_sb. This is a project that started in January 2012 and continued to expand both in numbers of antiheroes and numbers of followers (more than 24000). It’s been part of several books and exhibition in Los Angeles, Miami, Lisbon and uncountable cities in Spain.
