Monash University is embarking on a complete structural and cultural redesign of the entire Clayton university campus. One of the monumental theatres of the campus, the Alexander Theatre, will be knocked down and rebuilt from scratch to incorporate state of the art facilities and performance theatres. Monash Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) wanted a new look and feel which reflected this physical and cultural change. The new design references the shapes of the old Alexander Theatre architecture as well as the architecture of the proposed new building. The colour palette for the new season is bright and optimistic which represents the cultural changes that MAPA have embarked on. As lead and only designer on the project I was involved in all initial client briefings, conceptual designs, client presentations, and design roll-out across season programs, signage, advertising, enewsletter templates, event flyers and an updated website design and system.
