Wild Horse Preservation

Living, breathing embodiments of the American spirit, few sights can compare
to a herd of wild Mustangs galloping across the western wilderness. For centuries
these wild animals have roamed the American west and have become a powerful symbol of freedom synonymous with the bald eagle. Despite their iconic status, the Mustangs are becoming endangered at the hands of the very government they’ve come to represent. The environmental problems created by large herds coupled with competition over resources with domestic livestock and native game has rendered the wild horses of the west a nuisance in the eyes of many. As their numbers dwindle due to government-sponsored round-ups and other means of population control, debate remains ongoing over the fate of America’s wild horses.
To address the issue of the American government’s wild horse policies, this campaign's aim was to generate awareness through promotional brochures, a billboard, and direct mailers; guiding viewers to an existing foundation with more information and ways they, as individuals, can help. The goal of this project was to raise awareness for the American government’s poor wild horse management policies and then provide a means for those concerned to make a difference.
